FORMER Coventry City and Aston Villa star Dion Dublin will host a charity ball in Leamington.

The Dion Dublin Ball of Sound will feature live performances from acts including Fillet-o-Soul, an 11-piece soul band who have played with Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

Taking place at The Assembly on March 2, the event will include a champagne reception and dinner.

Dion Dublin, himself a musician, will host the ball in his role as an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and all funds raised will help disadvantaged young people in the West Midlands to turn their lives around.

Attendees will have the chance to bid for exclusive items in an auction – including signed football shirts - and the opportunity to hear first-hand from a young person who has managed to change their life for the better.

Dion, also a TV football pundit, said: “I am looking forward to welcoming friends old and new to my musical extravaganza in the heart of Leamington. It is the perfect event for those interested in having a good time while giving back to the local community and promises to be an unforgettable night.”

Tickets are available from Lisa Glover on 0116 204 5580.
