A MAN was kicked unconscious and robbed as he walked along a canal towpath near Hatton.
The attacked happened about 5pm on Tusday (February 5) as the victim walked along the towpath between Shrewley and Hatton.
Two men walking towards him asked for his belongings but before he could respond he was knocked to the ground and kicked, at which point he fell unconscious for a few moments.
When he woke he realised his mobile phone, a wallet containing £60 cash and tobacco had been stolen. He He suffered bruising and swelling to his right eye and a small cut to the left side of his nose, plus sore ribs. He alerted police after walking home.
