A FORMER teacher is looking to share her cake decorating skills in the fight against cancer.
Naomi Chard, who runs Leamington business You've Got Cake, will be holding a variety of classes in February giving people the opportunity to learn the skill of cupcake decorating.
And the former North Leamington School music teacher will be donating 20 per cent of all proceeds from classes in February to Cancer Research in honour of her father who was recently diagnosed with the disease.
The mum-of-two told the Observer: “My lovely dad is the most amazing man. He was diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas, and will be starting treatment in a few weeks.
“His prognosis is looking good and he’s very upbeat and absolutely determined to beat it. I want to show him my support and by raising money for Cancer Research, I can do exactly that.
“I have enjoyed many years as a secondary school teacher, and now am thrilled that I get to combine two off my passions – teaching and cake.”
The first class will be held at the Episode Hotel in Leamington on February 13 between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
And it's not just adults who can get involved in the fun with special classes for children aged between four and 11 set to be held at The Open Door Cafe in Warwick from 10am to 12.30pm on February 19.
