AN elderly woman was forced to hand over her wedding ring to thugs who forced their way into her home in Lillington.

Four men with their faces covered forced their way into an elderly couple's home in Lillington Road at 10pm on Monday night (January 28) and demanded to know if they had any valuables in the house.

The only item believed to have been stolen during the robbery was the woman’s gold wedding ring, which they forced her to remove during the terrifying ordeal.

The couple suffered from shock but did not receive any serious injuries.

All four men drove away in a dark coloured car, which was later found abandoned in the Tesco car park in Solihull.
