By Laura Maltby Tuesday 15 January 2013 Updated: 16/01 09:08

MASKED thugs burst into the home of a Southam man and attacked him with an axe.

The victim has undergone surgery on his leg - after suffering cuts - following the attack in Ascote Way shortly after midnight on Saturday (January 12).

The three attackers were white men, and all were wearing hoodies and used scarves to cover their faces.

Police have been carrying out house to house inquiries but still want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Anyone with information should call PSI Andre Gibson on 01926 415065, extension 4025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
