THREE people were arrested in Leamington on Tuesday (January 8) after a drugs raid by Warwickshire Police.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply, and bailed pending further enquiries.

Two other men, aged 19 and 22, were arrested and later issued with a caution for possession of cannabis.

It followed a raid in St George’s Road.

Officers gained entry with assistance from specially trained police and detained three men while they searched the property. A quantity of cannabis was recovered along with some cash and other drug paraphernalia.

Sergeant Tim Sharp, who leads Leamington’s priority policing area team, said the raid was “yet another example of great team work by the police officers involved and shows our commitment to reducing crime.”
