Volunteer drivers needed in the district

NEW volunteer drivers are required to help transport pensioners across the district for medical appointments.

Warwick District Health Transport Scheme (HTS) – which is celebrating its 25th anniversary and currently carries out about 3,000 journeys a year - wants people with their own cars to transport local over 65s.

One volunteer with ten years of service, Keith Attryde, said: "It is a great way to meet new interesting people and at the same time help and contribute to the local community in a practical and rewarding way.

"The time you give to the charity is totally flexible and can be as little or as much as you like."
