THOSE who lost their lives serving King, Queen, and country were remembered at the weekend.
There were services across the district on Sunday (November 11) - as Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day - when the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War - coincided.
Thousands attended services on a crisp sunny morning to honour the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
