POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an early morning crash on the M40 which left a driver dead.
Officers, fire and ambulance crews were called to the northbound carriageway at the Longbridge Roundabout near junction 15 around 2am on Wednesday morning (October 24) after a car, believed to be a Mini, left the motorway and burst into flames in a field.
The driver - who police have not stated was a man or woman - was declared dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
The identity of the driver will not be released until the victim's family have been informed.
