A CHOIR group are desperate for someone to lend them a tenor.
Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society have been so short of tenors that some of the good ladies of its alto section have been singing with the tenors this year.
Musical director Julian Parkin said: “The society gives four concerts a year and has some very fine singers but we are very short of tenors.
“We’d love to hear from anybody who would like to come and sing with us, particularly tenors - male and female.
“We are a non-audition choir and, although some of the pieces we sing are challenging, they are very rewarding.”
The choral society’s concerts have included music from the 16th to the 21st Century and this autumn they we will be singing Handel’s Ode For St Cecilia's Day, Finzi’s For St Cecilia and Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens.
The group meets on Monday evenings in Warwick and all are welcome.
