AN ELDERLY man has died after being hit by a pick-up truck on a petrol station forecourt in Wellesbourne.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident at the Shell Garage on Warwick Road on Wednesday September 12.
The 88-year old man, who has not yet been named, was on foot and was believed to have had taken shelter under the canopy from a sudden downpour of rain at around 6.20pm when he was hit by a Mitsubishi pick-up.
He was taken to Warwick Hospital, where he died the following day. The pick-up driver was not injured.
Police want to hear from anyone who was also on the petrol forecourt at the time, or who was in the area and saw the Mitsubishi pick-up, or the victim prior to the collision.
