KENILWORTH'S survival in the Warwickshire League Premier Division looks precarious after they suffered an 84-run defeat at Sutton Coldfield on Saturday.
With only two matches remaining, the first of which is at Solihull Blossomfield on Saturday, this leaves them second from bottom and 19 points adrift of tenth placed Four Oaks Saints.
Sutton posted 166 all out with Thomason hitting 37, Wright 29 and Hobbis 23 after Phil Edmonds had taken 3-49, Imran Khan 2-27 and Chris Prophet 2-30.
In reply, Kenilworth never recovered from being 21-4 and were skittled out for a paltry 82 as Childs took 5-26 and Guest 4-26.
On Sunday, the side enjoyed an 18-run win over Birmingham League outfit Knowle & Dorridge after posting 202-8 thanks to 60 from James Nason, Rupesh Sarvankar's 57 and an unbeaten 33 from Mike Watts.
In reply, K&D could only muster 184-9, with Lee posting 60 and Harding 46 after Nason had taken 3-13 and Gregg Peebles 2-37.
Kenilworth 2nds had a winning draw against Solihull Municipal after posting 154, in which Sarvankar top scored for the side with 47 and James Alty chipped in with 28, Tom Pope 23 and Rob Gardner 22.
Solihull could only make 123-8 in reply as Sarvankar claimed 3-25 and Geoff Edmunds 2-27, whilst Pope, Matt Bolshaw and Jaesh Naik took a wicket apiece.
The Sunday 2nds were outplayed by Knowle & Dorridge in a seven-wicket defeat.
The side could only muster 85 against a tidy bowling attack as only Andy Dadswell made any score of note as he made 35.
In reply, K&D eased to 88-3. The only successful Kenilworth bowlers were Roger Kelsey (2-19) and Charlie Stranks (1-22).
