AN ECO WARRIOR who wrote a book about how to live a spiritually green life is travelling across the globe to promote it.
last year Lillington resident and Campion School teacher Chris Philpott published his book Green Spirituality, which deals with major environmental and
poverty issues such as climate change and offers a variety of spiritual perspectives on the problems.
And now he is going for a three-month trip to America and Canada between September and November to promote the book he spent 13 years researching and writing.
He is undertaking his travels in the 'greenest' way possible to lessen his carbon footprint, sailing by ship both ways and travelling around the two countries by train.
Chris’ first talk will take place in New York before he travels to the major cities of Canada and South America via Washington D.C, Philadelphia, Atlanta and New Orleans.
He is then making his way to Chicago and will visit two ecovillages along the way.
Throughout his travels Chris hopes to learn about the green movement in America and glean some insight into American politics as the presidential election will be taking place while he is there.
On his return, he intends to share his experiences with others by holding a public talk about his discoveries.
