A MUSIC producer from Leamington is hoping for big things from his first signed protégé – a ten-year-old singer and actor.
Reece Nagra, a former Myton School student who went on to study music at Coventry School of Performing Arts, has been a producer for more than a decade, ghost writing hits for a host of chart artists such as Lemar and Simon Webb and promoting a wide variety of people from Shola Ama and Jason Donovan to Jodie Marsh and DJ Tim Westwood.
He has now used the experience to launch his own label - Babycamp Records – and his first signing to the label is ten-year-old actor and singer Tyriek Clement, whose debut single Shine The Light he has produced and will be available soon.
Tyriek, from Hackney in London, has worked with artists such as Wretch 32, performed at the London's Royal Albert Hall and starred with Stacey Solomon in the Iceland Christmas adverts for 2011, as well as a short film which shown at the Cannes film festival.
Reece said: “He's going to be one to watch out for.
“I've done so much with so many different artists who have become very successful; I thought what could happen if I work solely with one artist and give him my experience branding and originality perhaps something really special.
“ Tyriek is now ready to release his debut single - with his amazing vocal capacity and original music, the single gives and shows the public the true beginnings of a professional recording artist.”
