A REGISTERED blind man was assaulted at a bus stop in Kenilworth on Friday evening (August 3).
He was waiting by the stop in Abbey End, just before 10pm, when he was attacked, suffering various swellings, bruising and wounds to his head plus a break to his shoulder which will require a series of operations to correct.
Witnesses describe the man being on the floor unable to defend himself while he was struck to the head on numerous occasions.
The area was quite busy and several people came to the aid of the injured man, chasing the attacker off along Warwick Road towards the town centre.
He was described as a white male with collar length hair and wearing a waist length jacket.
