AN eye-catching wood sculpture designed in memory of a former employee of the Spa Centre has transformed the ground directly outside it.
Wendy Jackson, who worked for in the theatre bar and catering department for over eight years, died suddenly in January this year.
Co-workers and friends, shocked by the loss, wanted to have something to remember her by and the sculpture idea formed when Warwick District Council identified three trees outside the theatre for cutting down in order for other ones to flourish.
The stump of one of three Cedar trees was offered and after funds were raised experienced artist Graham Jones has been busy at work creating the sculpture.
Wendy's best friend and work colleague, Philippa Sheasby, said: “The “Spirit of Wendy” encompasses memories that we will always attribute to Wendy, that being her unfailing spirit, fun lovely attitude, dedication to friends and her beloved cat.”
