FORMER publican George Wilkinson is the toast of Kenilworth Golf Club after hitting an amazing three hole-in-ones on the same hole in just four weeks.
The 82-year-old golden-oldie, who plays three times a week, achieved the astonishing feat with his trusty nine-wood on the 140-yard par three 7th hole at the Crewe Lane course.
The 22-handicapper celebrated his first ace on Wednesday, June 27 and, once the radar was set, wasted no time in following up with two more in four days last week.
He said:"I'm struggling to take it all in. I've played golf for 60 years without ever having had a smell of one and now I've hit three in four weeks, I just don't believe it."
"It was a marvellous feeling when I walked into the clubhouse after the last one because everybody stood up to form a guard of honour and the whole place erupted.
"The only problem is it's costing me a fortune on drinks every time I play the hole!"
