SHRUBLAND Street Primary School is celebrating its most successful sporting year ever.
Teams from the old town school have competed well in a variety of events, with almost 100 different pupils taking part in one sport or another.
Its football team won the Central Warwickshire Small Schools Cup and the school also had runners up in a six-a-side event.
In cricket the year four team were crowned Central Warwickshire Champions, while the school's Basketball side also won a Warwickshire-wide event.
Pupils starred in cheerleading with champion trophies won across three different year groups, while In tag Rugby there were also creditable semi final and quarter final results.
School headteacher David Farrar said: “In Olympic year the ideals of taking part and enjoyment linked to striving to success have really been apart of school life here at Shrubland Street.
“With 15 free after school clubs the children have really gone for it and their success is a reflection of this.
“What is all the more incredible, this is achieved at a small school with no green space so every fixture is an away fixture.”
