A SPORTY summer is planned at Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum.
There will lots of activities held there over the coming weeks, inspired by the launch on Saturday (July 14) of the exhibition Going for Gold - celebrating local sporting life.
Among the events is a children's art competition on July 28, from 11am to 3.30pm, giving visitors the chance to create their own Olympic-themed masterpiece.
A summer art club will hold afternoon sessions, free to attend, on four consecutive Thursdays in August – 9, 16, 23 and 30 - offering families the chance to try out different activities such as making Olympic torches, mascots, hats and rosettes.
On August 14 and 15, between 11am and 4pm, a workshop will be led by Leamington-based dance theatre company Motionhouse, providing chance to explore contemporary dance styles, learn new dance skills and perform some moves in Jephson Gardens.
Places are limited and can be pre-booked on 01926 742700.
