JOHN Boothroyd is the new President of the Rotary Club of Kenilworth.
He takes over the chain of office from outgoing President Tony Thompson.
Mr Boothroyd said: "This year we will continue the excellent foundation work put down by past president's of KRC and welcome new members from all walks of life looking to become involved in the greatest service club worldwide that helps people and organisation who are less fortunate than ourselves both at home and worldwide.
"It is a privilege to be the President of the Rotary club of Kenilworth who have a motto for the year of "Peace through service" and to be involved in our community where so much good work is done by our Rotarians who work quietly without recognition or praise but in seeing the results of all the efforts and good work ,through fundraising and smiling faces which are reward enough.
"As a past Rotary Ambassador who visited India for 6 weeks as part of a group study exchange programme I appreciate the value of being a Rotarian and what rotary can do for you and What you can do for Rotary.
