SOUTHAM United make the short trip to Priors Marston tonight (Thursday) for the first of five friendlies as they start their pre-season build-up.
Whilst fixtures for the new Midland Combination season, which gets under way on Saturday, August 4, have yet to be announced, the draw for the two Football Association national competitions has been made.
In the FA Cup, Saints will play an extra preliminary round tie away to Dudley Town on August 11. Should they win through, they will travel to Evo Stick Northern League Division One South outfit Halesowen Town on August 25.
In the FA Carlsberg Vase, Saints have a bye in the first qualifying round, but will entertain either old rivals Continental Star or Ellesmere Rangers, both from the Midland Football Alliance, in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 15.
Saints other pre-season friendlies are at home to Heather St John’s on Thursday, July 19 (7.45pm), away at Northampton Spencer on Tuesday, July 24 (7.45pm), at home to Whitnash Town on Thursday, July 26 (7.45pm) and away at Ardley United on Saturday, July 28 (3pm).
