Leamington man killed in Ryton smash

A 26-year-old man has died after crashing his Porsche into a telegraph pole near Ryton.

The young man crashed on the Coventry bound A45 before the Ryton on Dunsmore roundabout in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning.

It happened at around 1.15am when the Leamington man lost control of his Porsche, hitting a telegraph pole and trees before ending up on the nearside verge.

He died shortly after being rushed to University Hospital in Coventry for treatment.

Police shut the road for several hours while emergency services attended to the victim and cleared the scene.
