New coach at Moorefields

TOM GREEVY has been appointed new head coach at Leamington RFC.

Greevy, who will take on the dual role of player coach, has a strong playing background with over 11 years experience playing National League rugby in the front row or second row.

His previous clubs include leading names in the Midlands area - Barkers Butts, Coventry, Nuneaton and Broadstreet. In addition he has played representative rugby for Irish Exiles and Warwickshire.

Greevy’s coaching experience has seen him enjoy success with Coventry University, Warwickshire Colleges, Midlands Colleges and Warwickshire.

The Moorefields outfit are pleased that Alex Carroll will continue in his role of backs coach, working alongside Greevy and director of rugby Tony Timms.

Greevy said: “I have a challenging, but enjoyable coaching programme in place, ready for pre-season training, which starts in July and I am looking forward to the challenge of ensuring Leamington stay successful, develop as a club and progress further.”

Pre-season training starts at Moorefields on Tuesday, July 3 at 7pm sharp!

Meanwhile, the Midlands Leagues structure for the 2012/13 season has been confirmed.

Midlands Two West (South): Banbury, Bedworth, Droitwich, Dunlop, Earlsdon, Kenilworth, Kidderminster Carolians, Leamington, Newbold on Avon, Old Laurentians, Shipston on Stour, Upton on Severn.

Midlands Three West (South):Cheltenham North, Evesham, Kings Norton, Ledbury, Old Coventrians, Old Leamingtonians, Old Wheatleyans, Pershore, Pinley, Redditch, Southam, Woodrush.

Midlands Four West (South): Alcester, Atherstone, Birmingham CS, Claverdon, Coventrians, Coventry Welsh, Harbury, Keresley, Manor Park, Old Yardleians, Warwickians.

Midlands Five West (South): Birmingham Exiles, Copsewood, Coventry Technical, Greyhound, Rugby Welsh, Stoke OB, Trinity Guild, Wellesbourne.
