MEZZO-SOPRANO Ksynia Loeffler returns to familiar surroundings when she performs at St Mary's Church in Warwick on Wednesday (June 27).
Ksynia, who grew up in the town and went to King's High School, sang in Warwickshire County Youth Choir and St Mary's Girls Choir as a schoolgirl.
She went on to train at London's Royal Academy of Music, where she graduated with distinction and met her husband, German pianist Jan Loeffler.
Both professional musicians, they have recently moved back to Warwick from London, and are performing together in their first local concert at St Mary's, where they got married in 2010, which starts at 7.30pm.
The concert programme includes works for solo voice and piano by Schumann, Debussy, Jonathan Dove and the world-premiere of a piece by local composer, Howard Skempton, called Brave Guy of Warwick, which describes the adventures of legendary local hero Guy of Warwick.
Tickets, priced £7.50, are available from the church shop in advance or on the door on the night
