A DREAM trip to film sets in the USA has been won by a cinema-goer in Leamington.
Carly Perkins was entered into a prize draw by booking tickets to see Disney’s fantasy-adventure movie John Carter at Apollo Cinema in Portland Place, and picked out at random from thousands of entrants.
The former North Leamington School pupil will now fly out to Utah, were much of the film was shot, for a week of sight seeing including trips to The Rocky Mountains and Salt Lake City.
She said: “I can’t believe I won such an amazing prize. At first thought it was a scam as I never win things, but then realised the email address was the real and I got very excited and told all my family.
“My dad is coming with and is also very excited. I have never been to Utah before and am mega excited to see where parts of the film were filmed, it was such a good movie, with amazing action sequences and story.”
Last year a Leamington family won a similar trip to the Wild West after booking for the Rango movie on the Apollo website.
These competitions are now run at www.apollocinemas.com on a regular basis.
