Man falls 30ft from factory roof in Southam

A MAN was airlifted to hospital with a serious head injury after falling 30ft from the roof of a factory in Southam.

The accident happened on Southfield Road on Kineton Road Industrial Estate around 3.15pm on Thursday.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The man, believed to be in his 30s, had reportedly fallen from the roof of a factory and had suffered a serious head injury and suspected chest and pelvic injuries.

“Due to the serious nature of the man’s injuries, the doctor decided to anaesthetise him to stabilise his condition and enable crews to continue emergency treatment.“The man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.”
