STEVE DYER hit a sparkling century which helped Warwick record a fine 60 run Warwickshire League Division One victory at Old Edwardians on Saturday.
Dyer compiled a splendid 105no which helped the visitors reach a competitivee total of 204 for 9 from their 50 overs.
It was a target Old Eds never threatened as they were dismissed for 144 thanks to some good bowling from Paul Rowe 4-59, James Wynn-Evans 3-40 and Rajan Bhatti 2-30.
The 2nds were involved in a high scoring draw against their Massey Ferguson counterparts.
Massey totalled 235 for 8 with Jorjeet Singh 5-49 and Ismail Khan 2-38 the most successful bowlers.
Warwick made a brave chase but finished just short on 224 for 9 with Adrian Passey 74, Reetesh Vishwanath 50, Owen Griffiths 28 and Jonathan Davis 20 top scoring in the face of some accurate bowling from Nazar 5-55.
The 3rds enjoyed a one wicket success over Olton in a thrilling clash.
Olton were dismissed for 174 with captain Tom Austin 4-37 and Talha Haroon 4-39 doing the damage.
Man of the maatch Haroon hit 28 to get the reply off to a good start adn Warwick edged to 175 for 9 thanks to James Figgitt who hit 49no.
Warwick 4ths held on for a draw against Lapworth 2nds .
Richard Evans struck 125 to lift Lapworth to 246 for 5, while Warwick responded with 154 for 8 thanks to Fred Lewis who compiled 44no.
