Smoke pours from the gallery in Warwick Street. (s)
A MAJOR blaze has broken out at a gallery in the centre of Leamington this afternoon (Friday).
Firefighters were called at 1.30pm to Warwick Studios, an art gallery on Warwick Street.
More than ten fire engines from across the county are in attendance and by 3.30pm smoke was still seen billowing out across the town centre.
Some firefighters are using the roofs of buildings on Park Street to tackle the blaze and a section of Warwick Street has been shut off by police, as well as businesses near to the scene.
Nobody is thought to have been hurt, with ambulance sent to the scene just as a precaution.
A spokesman confirmed the fire has spread to the second floor of the building and firefighters are working 'extremely hard' to stop the fire from spreading to the third floor.
There are currently eight engines and a combined aeriel rescue pump in attendance.
