A MAN has been charged with the attempted murder of a police officer.
Twenty-three year old Marijus Kaminskis, from Porchester Street, in Birmingham, was charged after an incident which happened in the early afternoon of Wednesday May 23, in Newbold Pacey, near Wellesbourne.
He appeared before magistrates at Leamington where he was remanded in custody to next appear at Warwick Crown Court on September 5.
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said the officer received medical treatment following the incident and has since returned to duty.
