DOUBLE Ivor Novello award-winning lyricist Chris Difford tells the story of his career at Leamington's Spa Centre on May 30.

With his partner, collaborator, friend and Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook, Difford has written some of the finest pop songs of the post punk era, the likes of Up The Junction, Cool For Cats and Labelled With Love.

Aided and abetted by comedian Norman Lovett of Red Dwarf fame, Difford tells the story of his musical life - covering everything from the 50p advert in a newsagent window that was the start of Squeeze, through to playing Madison Square Garden and beyond.

Difford has released three critically-acclaimed solo albums, toured relentlessly both inside and outside of Squeeze, and as one of the country’s most respected songwriters has co-written with a host of musicians and performers that reads as a veritable who’s who of the industry. One of his most recent co-writes appears on the best selling Ollie Murs album.

Difford is well-known within the industry for his twice-yearly songwriting retreats, and he curated the Songs In The Key Of London concert which saw performers including Elvis Costello, Suggs, and songwriting partner Tilbrook gather at the Barbican to perform songs by Londoners about London.
