Two hurt in crash near Kenilworth

TWO men were seriously injured in a crash near Kenilworth.

The crash - on Hob Lane in Burton Green at around 2.10pm on Tuesday - left two men trapped after their car turned over into a ditch. The men were freed after around an hour.

An ambulance spokesman said: “One man, the 18 year old driver, suffered serious leg injuries. Following treatment he was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment. The second man, a passenger believed to be 20 years old, suffered serious head and leg injuries.

"Following treatment he was airlifted to the same hospital for further treatment emergency treatment.

“All emergency services worked expertly at the scene to ensure the patients received the best treatment as quickly yet as safely as possible.”
