A NEW leaf was turned with the re-launch of Warwick Library on Monday (April 23).
The library recently re-located from Barrack Street to Shire Hall and its relaunch date was chosen to coincide with World Book Day and Shakespeare’s birthday anniversary celebrations.
Activities included an official cake and ribbon cutting ceremony in the morning - attended by local dignitaries, construction workers and schoolchildren - followed by a poetry session with Warwick Poet Laureate Dinah Smith.
In the evening the English National Opera’s poet-in-residence, Ian McMillan, performed his comedy poetry show Talking Myself Home.
WarwickTweetup, a group of local twitter users, also joined the celebration.
