THERE will be added spice at Apollo Cinema in Leamington when it hosts its first ever Bollywood film on Sunday (April 22).
The action thriller Agent Vinod, an Indian film about a suave James Bond-style secret agent, will be screened at 5.40pm on Sunday and again at 7.40pm the following day. The Monday night showing will be marked with a special live performance by local Bollywood dance talent Hemisha Dave of Jazba Productions.
Cinema general manager Lisa Parry said it could be the first of regular Bollywood screenings to be held there to meet demand from Leamington's Asian community.
She added: “We are really excited to host our first ever Bollywood show and hope that this will be a hit.
“There have been lots of requests for us to show Bollywood from local people as many currently have to travel all the way to Birmingham.”
