THE GOLDEN age of radio is brought to the stage of Stratford Civic Hall in Roger Radio Presents The Mighty Beast.

Oddsocks' new play, which premiered in Jersey to much acclaim at the beginning of March, was written by husband and wife directors Andy Barrow and Elli Mackenzie.

The comedy radio play performed to a live audience aims to capture the golden age of radio. The cast attempt to portray a multitude of characters while creating sound effects using a collection of bizarre props and a couple of microphones.

The play can be seen on April 25, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £12 and £14 (£1 off each for concessions), are available by visiting www.civichall.co.uk or calling 01789 207100.

DID he or didn't he is the question posed by Tread The Boards in Loyalty Binds Me.

The murder mystery turns the focus on the story of Richard III and questions whether the notorious villain as portrayed by Shakespeare really did murder his nephews in the Tower of London.

Written by former Warwick Castle guide Neil Hewitt-Dudding, it is being staged by Stratford-based Tread The Boards

at The Attic Theatre at Stratford's Cox's Yard from April 26 to 29, and at Kenilworth Castle on May 4.
