PEOPLE are being urged to put their best foot forward in Leamington on April 22 to help the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
A sponsored walk has been organised in the Pump Room Gardens by the Leamington RNLI branch to re-equip crew members with new and innovative life jackets - part of the national campaign 'Life jackets for life savers' - as the charity receives no government funding.
There is no fixed start time, with people encouraged to just turn up any time between 11am and 3pm and walk as many laps of the circuit as they wish. Each lap is approximately one third of a mile.
There will also be a display by Leamington and Warwick Sea Scouts, a lifeboat on show, and merchandise for sale.
Refreshments and toilet facilities will be available in the nearby Pump Rooms cafe.
For sponsorship forms and further information email christinedaly24@hotmail.co.uk or call 01926 772599.
And a quiz night is also being held to boost the campaign at Cubbington Sports and Social Club in Windmill Hill, Cubbington, on Friday April 27, starting at 7.30pm.
