A WOMAN from Warwick is £50,000 richer after correctly guessing one of the three new mystery flavours of Walkers crisps.
In recent weeks almost 800,000 people across the nation have submitted guesses as to the flavours of the three limited-edition packs.
Helen Yendall, 49, correctly guessed the flavour of pack A was sour cream and spring onion and was crowned winner from a prize draw of all 3,292 correct entries.
She said: “I had a lot of fun trying to guess the mystery flavours and submitted a few answers for the various flavours – I always had a hunch that flavour A was sour cream and spring onion though.
“As you can imagine, the win came as a bit of a surprise.”
Helen added it was a special treat to meet the face of Walkers – former England forward turned TV presenter Gary Lineker – at a national ceremony in London.
Mystery flavours B and C - Lincolnshire Sausage and Brown Sauce and Birmingham Chicken Balti respectively – proved much harder to guess but 463 people did guess correctly for B and 232 people for flavour C.
Nikki Hughes of Nottingham was chosen winner of £50,000 for flavour B and Emma Thirkill of London got the same reward for flavour C.
The three revealed flavours will be available in stores nationwide for a limited period only.
