YOUNG thespians at Kenilworth's Talisman Theatre are offering a double bill of entertainment.
Talisman Youth Theatre presents Copperfield and Shooting Truth from March 29 to 31.
Copperfield is a comedy take on Dickens’ David Copperfield, written by Geoff Bamber and directed by Rosemary Gowers. It follows David through his life from school to work and finally to a happy ending through peril and mis-adventure involving Victorian values and feckless ne'er-do-wells.
Shooting Truth’ by Molly Davies and directed by Corrina Jacob, sees a group of teenagers making a film about a 14 year old witch from the 17th century for their school project. The past and present begin to blur and collide and one time's values must battle those of another's.
The Youth Group is an important strand of the Talisman Theatre's charitable commitment to the local community. It has been running for over 25 years providing weekly acting and drama classes and workshops for groups of ten to 16 year olds.
Christine Carpenter, the Theatre's Director Of Productions, said: "The Youth Theatre is our way of ensuring a love of theatre is passed from generation to generation."
Tickets, priced £6, are available from the Talisman Theatre Box Office on 01926 856548.
