IT was full steam ahead at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre for model rail enthusiasts at the weekend.
The 11th annual Midlands Garden Rail Show welcomed along rail fans young and old to what is regarded as one of the UK's leading model railway exhibitions, attracting more than 2,000 enthusiasts.
A number of railway layouts and society displays were presented, including showcases from the Midland Group of the Gauge 1 Model Railway Association and the Nuneaton Society of Model Engineers. There was also a large exhibition layout from the Kendal Model Railway Club.
The exhibition at the centre near Leamington was supported by 40 specialists suppliers selling everything needed to plan, design and build a model railway layout.
Karen Kyte, of event organiser Meridienne Exhibitions, said: "This exhibition takes you chuffing down memory lane, while providing inspiration for your own model railway for the garden or shed.”
