A CHARITY cabaret evening in aid of Epilepsy Research UK, BasicNeeds and Refuge is being staged by Leamington‐based theatre, film and education company Heartbreak Productions on February 19.

Love & Laughter, at St Patrick’s Irish Club, promises an evening of music, comedy and variety acts from local actors and performers, including guitarist and songwriter Gaynor O’Flynn who

played Glastonbury last year, Armonico Consort singer James Brash, and up‐and‐coming

Leamington indie band, Odyssey Blue.

The evening is in association with Leamington Mayor Alan Wilkinson, whose charities for the year the evening

is supporting.

DR Richard Morris will give a presentation on K2L, the proposed cycleway between Kenilworth and Leamington, at a Kenilworth Society open meeting on February 23.

It takes place at Kenilworth Methodist Church in Priory Road, and starts at 7.30 pm. Entry is £1 (free to Kenilworth Society members).

WARWICK Words Writers’ Group will be reading their poetry, short prose and scripts followed by an Open Mic session on February 23.

It takes place at The Warwick Arms Hotel in High Street from 7.30 pm to 9.30pm. Entry is £3 on the door. Visit www.warwickwords.co.uk for further details.

CUBBINGTON Action Group against HS2 is holding a fund-raising Skittles Night on February 24.

It takes place at Leamington Cricket Club in Arlington Avenue, from 7.30pm.

The £6 ticket includes a ploughman’s supper and there will also be a bar is available.

AMATEUR historians can find out more about Warwickshire's past at the County Record Office in Warwick on February 25.

The session from 2pm onwards - entitled ‘How Do We Know Where all the Archaeological Sites are in Warwickshire?’ - is the first in a new monthly series to be held at the Priory Park venue.

It will be run by Ben Wallace, historic environment record manager. Later sessions include ‘How Do We Know About Warwickshire’s Geological Past?’ on March 24, and ‘How Do We Know About Our Family History?’ on April 21.

A SPECIAL event focusing on special occasions for children is held in Kenilworth on February 26.

While the area has many wedding fayres and baby and toddler shows, this event cater for special occasions for children such as christenings and birthday parties.

The event, running from 11am to 4pm at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth, is free for visitors with a free crèche and children's activity zone provided.

THE VAGINA Monologues is being performed in aid of charity at Bath Place in Leamington on March 9.

Warwick University Anti-Sexism Society are staging the event at the former Leamington library in Avenue Road to raise funds for Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre.

It starts at 7.30pm, and entry is £5 students, £6 non-students.

A FUND-RAISING concert in aid of Afghan Heroes takes place at Southam Grange Hall on March 31.

Dunchurch Band will be performing at the concert sponsored by town mayor Mike Gaffney.

Afghan Heroes, which is independent of other charities, deals specifically with members of the British forces and their families that have been affected by the military operations in Afghanistan and other current deployments.

LIVING with autism is the subject of a talk at Kenilworth's Holiday Inn on April 19.

A CELEBRATORY lunch for all former Warwick School pupils in 1952 and 1953 is being held on April 28 to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The lunch at the school, between noon and 3pm, is a special opportunity for old boys to meet school friends, classmates and one or two members of staff from the 1950s, some of whom they may not have seen for 60 years.
