LEAMINGTON'S first ever Lantern Parade brought light to the town centre on Thursday night (December 8).
Families and school children in the area made the lanterns in the weeks leading up to the event, which saw a stream of the lanterns carried from Christchurch Gardens at the top of The Parade through the town centre to the 'Tree of Lights' in front of the town hall.
The procession was accompanied by Christmas carols led by the Baptist Church Choir and the Royal Spa Brass Band.
Stephanie Kerr, executive director of BID Leamington, the organisers of the parade, said it proved a fantastic way of bringing the community together to share the spirit of Christmas.
